This colourful wall hanging came from a black and white sketch a FB friend posted. After getting permission, I adapted it for fabric. Watch this short video to see how I decided it should be quilted.
This is my own design. I wanted a way to set off the flowers and the lovely coordinating fabrics. Watch this video to see why I quilted it with the patterns I chose.
I made this quilt for Quiltmaker Magazine a few years ago. They provided the pattern, fabric, and batting. Once it was put together, I felt the quilting directions were too bland, not enough for this top. I and a few other quilters in the group asked for permission to go our own way, and we were allowed to do so. This is what I came up with.
